A current exhibition programme
Festo’s official programme for the 2026 China International Industry Fair lists an energy-management demonstration for pneumatic and electric automation. The company gives 12–16 October as the exhibition dates in Shanghai and identifies its location as Hall 5.1, booth D018. The programme page does not display a publication date.

Connecting measurements to control
The planned demonstration combines pressure, flow and air-consumption monitoring with pressure regulation and zoned air supply. Festo describes valve terminals and sensors identifying leakage and standby consumption, while coordinated valve operation controls the timing of supply and exhaust.
A controller or higher-level system provides visualisation, consumption trends and alarms, according to Festo. The exhibit is presented as a way to connect monitoring with operational adjustments; the page does not report measured savings from this particular installation.

LANGOM perspective
For a factory considering a compressed-air efficiency project, the important starting point is a usable baseline. Teams should distinguish production, idle and maintenance conditions before judging a proposed saving. Recording the product mix and operating schedule would help prevent a quieter production week from being mistaken for an improvement in the equipment.
The integration review should also identify who can change pressure settings, how alarms are assigned and which actions require an operator. Monitoring only becomes useful when the maintenance team can connect an abnormal trend to a branch, machine or operating state and confirm the effect of a correction.
A pilot on a defined production area would provide a more useful buying test than a broad efficiency promise. Agreeing on measurement boundaries, reporting intervals and checks for process stability gives engineering and purchasing a shared basis for comparison. Festo’s programme offers a concrete architecture to discuss, while the expected benefit should be evaluated against the factory’s own workload.
