The Beckhoff ELX5151 evaluates one NAMUR incremental encoder and can also operate as an up/down counter. It supplies the encoder and supports wire-break or short-circuit detection, with selectable 16- or 32-bit counting. Operation requires an ELX9560 supply and installation in accordance with the manufacturer documentation.
