Start with the purchase you need to make
An exact replacement, a new installation and a multi-item purchasing schedule need different information. If you know the manufacturer and part number, keep the complete reference, including its suffix. If the specification is still open, explain the application and the criteria your technical team will use to approve a proposal.
Industrial automation
Find references for PLCs, I/O, drives, power supplies and terminal blocks. Match the exact model, interface and installation requirements before requesting a quotation.
Browse industrial equipmentElectronics and components
Use an itemized list for part numbers, revisions, quantities and essential interfaces. Identify accessories and any proposed substitutions separately.
Electronics supplyMeasuring equipment
Describe the measurement task, range, required performance and connections. State any calibration documents needed for acceptance.
Measurement equipmentServer equipment
Specify the required configuration, software environment and usable capacity. Include mounting, power and network requirements.
Server equipmentGive the destination a useful level of detail
For a project anywhere in Africa, include the country and city, then identify the intended delivery point when known. A port, a forwarder's warehouse and an end-user site are different handoff points. If the purchaser, receiving company and technical approver are different organisations, explain their roles.
Describe the actual site conditions that affect equipment selection, such as electrical supply, available space, interfaces and operating environment. Treat these as project facts to confirm, rather than assumptions based on the destination country.
Set the rules for the quotation
Availability, pricing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed for the specific purchase. Integration activities, including any configuration, installation or testing, must be included expressly in the agreed scope.
- State whether the exact reference is mandatory or alternatives may be proposed for technical approval.
- Give the quantity and unit for each line: individual pieces, complete sets or packs.
- Separate the requested receiving date from any fixed installation or shutdown date.
- List documentation, equipment condition and warranty or support requirements that affect acceptance.
- Ask for the proposed delivery arrangement, named place, included charges and responsibilities to be written into the quotation.
Prepare the right brief
Build an industrial RFQ
Create a line-item schedule that preserves part numbers, separates quantities from pack sizes and makes alternatives reviewable.
Use the RFQ checklistPlan the delivery handoff
Identify the receiving parties, requested documents and unresolved transport or import questions before committing to a purchase.
Use the handoff checklistSend one clear starting point
Browse the product catalogue for references, or start with your application. The enquiry form accepts one PDF, TXT or CSV file up to 5 MB, so a multi-item schedule can travel with the project brief. Include the destination and any questions that remain open.
LANGOM is based in Hong Kong. Company and contact details and how we work explain the business and the process. Submitting an enquiry does not place an order; the proposal establishes the equipment, scope and commercial terms for your purchase.
